Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.
Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.
Add a little heat or ice to your massage session. Whether you just need that extra little bit to help your muscles soften up for deep tissue massage, or you need to help get rid of that inflammation from a weekend of hiking.
Hydrotherapy has been practiced throughout the ages to assist those with a variety of illness or injuries. The heaing properties of hydrotherapy are based in the mechanical and thermal effects. It makes use of the body's reaction to hot and cold stimuli. Generally, heat is used to sooth and quiet the body, relaxing tense muscles and aiding to decrease anxiety and stress. Cold on the other hand can stimulates and invigorate the body, but it can also be used to decrease pain, and inflammation.
Depending upon the type of hydrotherapy added to your massage session the additional cost will range between $5-10. Discuss hydrotherapy options with me at the time you set up your appointment.
Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.
Pricing depends upon location and if I will be providing chair massage to more than one person. Email me for more details.

Don't be surprised when I ask to see the bottom of your shoes. The wear pattern can help me understand the structural alignment of your feet. We may talk about types of patterns and what shoes you wear while you soak you feet in an epson salt bath and do a foot scrub with essential oils that you choose. We will use a hydrating, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal foot cream. Hand Reflexology, Foot and Toe stretches, massage and stretching of legs and neck may be incorporated into your session as need. I will be checking in with you several days after your session to find out how you feel, any thing you notice in the days following your session.
I would also like to mention that Integrative Reflexology is a great option for those suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). During a session the client doesn't have to disrobe which is much easier on someone with PTSD. They feel safer. We use nerve stokes on key points to start off and this helps with anxiety and panic attacks. Integrative Reflexology elicits an overall improved sense of well being and a creates a deep state of relaxation.

"I highly recommend Annette to be anyone's massage therapist. She is a caring, conscientious, and extremely-qualified practitioner. She demonstrates a very professional treatment approach by taking time to discuss her clients' concerns and expectations, conducting a thorough physical evaluation, and devising an individualized plan of therapeutic care. Because of her treatment, I've experienced an alleviation of a significant amount of back, shoulder, and elbow pain that hadn't previously responded to other intervention methods." -William N.
